This guide will walk you through how to open up one of our bee viewing blocks so that you can clean it out. The process for our regular bee blocks is identical, except that there is no window, of course.

Start by removing both elastic bands:

Then use your fingernail or a small tool to pry the plastic window up, starting at the front. There is no adhesive used to secure it, but it should be snug.

It should now be easy to access the nesting cavity to clean:

To put it back together, align the front of the window with the front of the nesting block, and press along its length:

Put the elastic bands back on it by hooking a corner and then pulling them over the block:

And that's all there is to it!
