Heirloom Wild Bee Homes

Scopa was started by wild bee researcher Dr. Jessica Forrest and her partner and woodworker, Ryan Brideau. After seeing many commercially available bee hotel and insect habitat designs that were not following best practices for the health of wild bees, we set out to build the easiest to maintain and longest lasting wild bee homes possible. All of our homes are designed based on the latest understanding of these important pollinators. Each bee home is built from solid white oak and coated in environmentally friendly but extremely robust outdoor finishes. Our nesting blocks are individually removable (making them easy to keep out of the reach of predators), are easy to clean, and are well protected from parasitic wasps.
